Which map was removed from CS2 most recently?

How does Premier choose the map now?

Since the September 2026 update there are no bans in Premier. One team picks a map, the other team picks two, the first team picks one more, and the game draws one of those four at random.

Can I still play Overpass, Train or Vertigo?

They are out of Active Duty, so Premier never picks them. They still ship with CS2, so you can play them on community servers or in a private match.

Do maps have their own skins?

Yes. Most maps have a collection of skins that drop while you play and that come in souvenir packages from tournaments played on that map. Each map on this page links to its collections.

Active Duty maps

Ancient Temple ruins in a Central American jungle. Mid control decides most rounds, and both sites are tight, close-range fights. 19 skins from Ancient

Anubis An Egyptian town on the Nile, cut through by canals. Made by the community and in the pool since late 2022, apart from one season out in the second half of 2025. 19 skins from Anubis

Cache A warehouse yard near Chernobyl. Rebuilt for CS2 in April 2026 and back in Active Duty since Season 5, where it took the spot of Overpass. 13 skins from Cache

Dust II The best known map in the game: Long A, Mid doors and B tunnels. Back in the pool since April 2024. 35 skins from Dust II

Inferno A small Italian village. Banana leads to B, Apartments and Mid lead to A, and utility on Banana decides a lot of T rounds. 24 skins from Inferno

Mirage A desert town with three ways into the fight: A Ramp and Palace, Mid with Connector, and B Apartments. Its smokes are the lineups most players learn first. 34 skins from Mirage

Nuke A nuclear power plant with the two bomb sites stacked on top of each other, A above B. Rotations go through vents and ramp. 27 skins from Nuke

Since the update on September 23, 2026, Premier has no ban phase. The two teams build a shortlist and the game picks from it.
