The SSG08 bolt-action is a low-damage but very cost-effective sniper rifle, making it a smart choice for early-round long-range marksmanship. It has been spray-painted with a rust colored zebra stripe pattern.

Questions about SSG 08 | Prey

How much does SSG 08 | Prey cost?
SSG 08 | Prey starts at about $0.08 and runs up to around $0.83 depending on wear. The cheapest wear is Field-Tested at $0.08, and Battle-Scarred is the most expensive at $0.83. Prices here are pulled from live market listings and refreshed daily, so treat them as a starting point rather than a fixed quote.
Which wear should you buy for SSG 08 | Prey?
SSG 08 | Prey exists between float 0 and 0.48, which is what decides the wear you can get. Here Battle-Scarred costs roughly 10x what Field-Tested does, so the question is whether the difference is visible from a first-person view. On darker and busier finishes it usually is not, and the cheaper wear does the same job in a loadout.
What case is SSG 08 | Prey from?
SSG 08 | Prey drops from The 2021 Mirage Collection, Stockholm 2021 Mirage Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Mirage Souvenir Package, along with a few other sources. Opening for a specific skin is a bad bet at almost any odds, so buying it outright on the market is nearly always the cheaper route.
Does SSG 08 | Prey have a StatTrak version?
No. SSG 08 | Prey has no StatTrak version, but a Souvenir version does exist, so the kill counter is not an option for this skin.
